Bluetooth 9V — Installation & Setup

1. Installation

The device is waterproof and suitable for underground installation. Ensure that the cover is properly and fully closed. An improperly closed cover may affect the waterproof performance of the device.

2. Solenoid Valve Connections

The Grungard BLT model is compatible with all common solenoid valves operating at 9V DC. Each valve typically has two wires, usually in red and black.

  • The red wire from the valve connects to the red wire from the device.
  • The black wire from the valve connects to the black (common C) wire from the device.

Connecting a single valve: One wire should be connected to the black C (common) output. The other wire should be connected to the Zone 1 (red) output.

Connecting multiple valves: Combine all black wires from the valves and connect them to the C (common) output. Connect each red wire to its corresponding zone output (Zone 1, Zone 2, etc.).

Note: If the cable connections are made outdoors or in an area exposed to irrigation water, it is recommended to use waterproof connectors to ensure proper insulation.

3. Battery Connection

After completing all cable connections, insert the batteries into the device. When the batteries are inserted, the device sends a brief closing signal to each valve sequentially. The clicking sounds coming from the coils are normal and indicate that the device is functioning correctly.

4. App Setup & Testing

  • Install the Grungard mobile app on your phone.
  • Scan the QR code to start the setup.
  • Once setup is complete, use the "Water Now" option or zone settings to perform a test.
  • Test each zone individually to make sure the system is operating correctly.

Once all connections are completed, your system is ready for immediate use. Create irrigation schedules, manage zones, and control the system directly through the mobile app — anytime, anywhere.
