Irrigation Not Starting or Water Not Stopping

Irrigation Not Starting

1. Check the Water Supply

Ensure the main water shut-off valve is fully open. Without adequate water pressure, solenoid valves cannot activate.

2. Inspect the Solenoid Valve

Debris or mineral buildup can block the valve mechanism. Remove the solenoid from the valve body, clean it, and reinstall. Check for any visible cracks or damage.

3. Test the Coil

Use the app's "Water Now" feature to send a manual signal. If you hear a click from the valve but no water flows, the issue is likely mechanical (valve blockage). If there is no click, the coil or wiring may be faulty.

4. Check Wiring

Inspect all wire connections between the controller and the valve. Loose or corroded connections can prevent the signal from reaching the valve.

Water Not Stopping

1. Valve Stuck Open

Debris caught in the valve diaphragm can prevent it from closing. Turn off the main water supply, disassemble the valve, clean the diaphragm and seat, then reassemble.

2. Manual Override

Some solenoid valves have a manual bleed screw. If it has been opened (turned counterclockwise), the valve will stay open regardless of electrical signals. Make sure the bleed screw is fully closed (turned clockwise).

3. Controller Signal

Check the app to see if a zone is still shown as active. If so, tap "Stop All" to send a close signal. If the zone shows as inactive but water still flows, the valve itself needs servicing.
